The ʔuuʔaałuk ƛusmit Research Program was created to address the need for social, economic, and ecological considerations in fisheries management in British Columbia. This interdisciplinary team produces innovative research that informs fisheries decision-making and was presented at the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting 2024 in Honolulu. Strategic design and communications help translate complex research for community members, policymakers, and fisheries managers.

Our team develops ongoing communication materials, including meeting decks, infographic summaries, live visual notes, and print reports. These tools make research findings more accessible and actionable for decision makers. Clear visual communication has helped expand recognition of the program and support continued funding for research that aims to shape fisheries management across the region.
